Alan Gerstner - Executive Producer
Alan has been associated with the Skokie 4th of July Parade since the 1994. Alan is very active in Skokie and is a past president of Skokie School District 68, past chairman of the Skokie Human Relations Commission, currently a member of the Skokie Caucus Party Board of Directors and the current Vice Chairman of the Skokie Zoning Board of Appeals.

Richard Evonitz - Chairman
Richard has been volunteering with the Skokie 4th of July Parade for the past 8 years. Richard isa long time Skokie resident and active in Skokie Politics. Richard is a past president of East Prairie School District 73, past board member of Skokie High School District 219.
Bob Quane - Vice Chairman
Bob has been with the Skokie 4th of July Parade for 7 years and has added his expertise to the organization. Bob is currently a commissioner on the Skokie Plan Commission and a member of the Skokie Caucus Party Board of Directors.

Arnie Oskin - Director of Military and Community Relations Outreach
Arnie has been a resident of Skokie for over 43 years. He served 3 public elected terms/12 years on the District 73 School Board, Niles Township District Special Education Board and President of the North Cook County Illinois Association of School Boards.. Arnie served in the U.S. Army Active and Reserve Duty during the Vietnam and Kosovo Wars-1969-2000. Mr. Oskin’s Professional career as a Clinical Social Worker is noted by being recognized by DoD as the Navy and Marine Corps Social Worker of the Year in 1987, and 3 times named by Great Lakes Naval Training Center as the Outstanding Professional Social Worker of the Year in the 1980’s- 1992.

Michelle Julaton Mallari - Social Media Director
Michelle Julaton Mallari is a native of Skokie and has been a longtime fan of the Skokie 4th of July Parade. When the opportunity arose to serve in the same parade that has brought so many special memories to Michelle and her family, Michelle did not hesitate to join in on the fun!
Michelle continues to give back to the community by volunteering in the Skokie 4th of July Committee as the Social Media Director since 2022, as a Skokie Public Library Trustee since 2021, and as an enthusiastic volunteer of the Niles Township Food Pantry since 2017.

He is past president of Temple Beth Israel in Skokie and serves on the national board of the Union for Reform Judaism and Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute. He is the founder and chair of the Greater Chicago Jewish Festival, the largest cultural event in the Chicago Jewish community.

Frances Roehm
Frances is best known for making SkokieNet an accessible resource for the goings-on around town. Fran retired from the Skokie Public Library in December of 2014 after 18 years as the top Librarian in Skokie. We are pleased to have Frances as part of the Skokie 4th of July Parade board.
